One Injector Does not fire! help!
Number 4 injector wire does not fire no matter which stock injector i swap there. Although when i plugged one of my 450 dsm peak and hold injectors in it sounded like it was pumping. Any ideas?

calling around to see if i can find one. No luck yet. Any suggestions? I'll grab a voltmeter now and see what i come up with.

ok the noid light will tell you if the ecu is pulsing that injector. it is too fast for a volt meter to react. you need the led in a noid light because a test light is too slow also.
do that and see if it is "noiding" and go from there.

gotcha. still looking for a noid light. Also i swapped computers with someone just to see if it was that... same issue.

Also, if no noid light, you can go to Radio Shack and get a 12 volt LED or get an LED and the appropriate sized resistor. An LED will react quickly enough and you will only have a couple bucks in the setup. You'll probably want to tin the wire ends so you can push them into the injector clip easier.

unless you have 2 ecu's with bad drivers, now you need to check continuity from the not yellow/black wire back to the ecu and make sure it is not open or shorted.

Re: (RxglassJAw)
Since i'm getting a signal to the injector and all the wiring is in great shape and i'm getting spark but just no fuel is coming out do you think it's a tuning issue? I have intake, headers, full exhaust, jdm itr pistons which is more compression, 402 crower cams, cam gears, and skunk2 intake manifold. stock never touched ecu. just a thought sorry if it's a dumb one, but i'm pretty confused.

Re: (RyanA)
no but it's been freshly rebuilt. brand new OEM pistons and rings and the head was completely redone including a multi angle valve job... all i had to do was put the head on the block... pretty sure the compression is good. i can definitely check though.
When i pulled the injector out the tip was dry unlike all the other three... were wet with fuel. every time i switch injectors that one is always dry(moved it many times). Spark plug is dry also.

Any chance there is an obstruction at the opening of the fuel rail for that cylinder??? That or low fuel pressure are the only 2 things I can think of that would cause this. Well, those and low voltage to that injector...

Re: (RyanA)
if the light flashes when backprobed then more then likely the electrical part is good but your saying that no matter what the injector is always dry so it has got to be at the connector make sure you are getting good contact cause it really dont make sense. you know the injector is good cause you switched it, you know you are getting a pulse so the problem is at the connection.

Re: (gsrhatch2356)
i've got a fuel pressure regulator and a gauge... i bumped it up a little HIGH to 40psi. No obstructions at all i know that.
Anything to improve connection there? It seems pretty straight forward. Also i tried moving it around as much as possible when i had the car running to see if i could make a difference. No luck.
Should i grab another clip from the junkyard?

clip is in great working order. i didn't even use foil when i plugged in my LED. Squeezed together the connections inside the clip. Very tight fit.

well there has to be something wrong with one of the test then cause if the led flashes then the injector should open and if you are switching around inj and are for sure that one is staying dry then something is wrong there and you just need to isolate it and go from there. gl

Sorry for this meaningless post, but nobody responded to the above...
I'm thinking the same way as RyanA!

well i removed the fuel rail and took out the injectors. perfectly clear. lots of fuel coming out the back of the fpr... can't figure out what test is wrong. 12 volts, pulse, dry injector, new plugs, spark.
