Another thing.....check for burns in the wires. Alot of times when people put these "hyper white" or colored bulbs in the factory harness, it will just get to hot and melt the wires. But, in the process, it will make it dim before it burns up. I speak from past experience. You can buy new harness from the honda dealership for like $30 (pair)

I just put some Sylvania Silverstars into my car. Can I expect the wires to burn?

you should be fine with the sylvanias. Its the high wattage bulbs like PIAA that are putting out 100, and some of the ones that you get of ebay. Alot of times it will say on the pack if they are intended for an aftermarket harness, but we always seem to look over that. I have seen the silverstars in PepBoys, and I believe they are just regualr wattage, just a different tone and lumens

Check both the ground connection and the condition of the wire harnes. A defect in either will increase the resistance of the circuit, thus decreasing the current and the brightness of the bulb(s).

i would say check the bulb again because i had the same exact problem. It may look okay but you wouldnt know how long the previous owner used it. Try switching the good side with the bad side and see if its the same.

if it has after market bulbs theres a chance it could be too high watts and melt the wires from too much heat. i had that problem on my civic.
