right now all i have is my buddys old dirty aem filter on my stock pipe. so to say the least i have a ghetto intake. my question is and i understand an intake does make a huge different it will add little HP but which one would be better or are they the same its just for what style you like? here are the links to the two different intakes. http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors...wItem or http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors...wItem no matter what one i get i am going to get a K&N filter for it so its does one pipe make more power then the other? even though its maybe an extra hp or two when your stock and starting kinda helps?

does it really matter on the pipe? its more important to have a good filter and the pipe doesn't matter or am i wrong?

This is exactly correct. Get an intake off EBay for cheap, and replace the filter with a K&n filter and you're golden.

so everyone says why it matters but doesnt say why.?? Well the larger diameter pipe is designed so that is sucks air in and then when it whines down to the tb opening it goes into a swrily kind of way and thus being better performance, I know the password jdm one was shown to have the same results as a CAI.. so unless you do not want a cai because of water then i highly reccomend the larger diameter piping

ok so ive heard the one that goes down by your fender is better cause it gets colder air. then i heard get the short-to fat- and back to short so it doesn't get wet when it rains or snows. well i live in mid west where it snows so now what do you guys say?

Snow would not be a problem even rain, its not like a vacuum it wont suck up water

see exactly what i told you in the pm you will get responses like this, and in snow, snow melts when they salt thus it will splash all over the filter.. its not like a vacuum? have you ever stuck your hand over the intake pipe? I have and it sure as hell has some suction to it.
Like i said CAI get bypass valve
short to fat to short same dyno results as the CAI
short ram just sucks
