Re: Omnipower Pre-load (bonta-kun)
To preload the springs:
-Loosen the nut at the top of the shock until it sits pretty flush with the top of the shock piston.
-Loosen the perches that hold the spring up. Adjust spring height until the top hat (top mount) reaches the nut that you loosened in the previous step. Make sure to leave a little bit of room before it reaches the nut, so that the spring has a little bit of play.
-Now, tighten the nut at the top of the shock. When you are tightening it, you should be compressing the spring. After tightening the nut all the way, you should have preloaded the springs about half an inch.
To adjust ride height:
-Loosen the very last perch at the bottom of the shock.
-Adjust the cylinder body to desired height and tighten the perch.
To adjust ride height when coilovers are installed:
-Loosen the nut at the top of the shock until it sits flush with the top of the shock piston.
-Loosen the very last perch at the bottom of the coilover.
-Adjust the height by turning the perches that the springs sits on. Note: You do not have to loosen the perches that the springs sit on. Just turn it along with the threaded portion of the shock.
-Once you've reached the desired height, tighten the last perch at the bottom.
-Now tighten the nut at the top of the shock piston to pre-load the springs again.
That's about it. I have these on my car and I love them.
