Omnipower Coilovers: Need help!
Alright, so ive got everything off and ready for the coilovers to be put on. It says i need to preload the springs, all i did was loosen the top 19mm nut. is that it?
now, my big problem is measuring the drop. I want to drop my car about 1.75", but where do i start to measure? do i make the entire coilover, from top to bottom, the same length as my stock spring/shock and then twist it so its 1.75" shorter? im confused. someone let me know. thanks in advance!

Whats the adjustability on those 0"-4"? If so just adjust them to about half way, throw them on and go from there. As far as I know there is no way of knowing for sure before you put them on.

When I installed mine I put them up against the stock setup and dropped them down 2 inches fromt here. I don't recommend doing this because the stock springs are softer and compress more under pressure so I ended up lifting my car.......
Just put them on and drop it down and measure and adjust, thats really the only way to get them all to where you want.

how do you adjust ride height once its already installed i tried twisting the shock body and i tried using an allen key at the top but it wont move any further.
it also seems like the shocks are bottoming out for some reason. i hear "clunk clunk" noises when i go over bumps and its bumpy.
Maybe i preloaded it too much?
what does bottoming out sound like?
anyone know?

You adjust the ride height by turning the shock body. Make sure the lower collar lock is loose. What do you mean by it wont move any further?

take measurements and then unbolt your suspension and turn the lower mounting part of the coilover....... measure first how much it needs to go up.

wow, i did mine a whole different way. i adjusted my ride height by twisting the base, (the brass thing with the sticker). and when i measured the tread, you can only see about an inch and a quarter. Your coilovers looks long as hell. So try messing with that. And as for the clunk clunk sound, I have experienced the same thing on the front passenger side of my car when i leave my drive way. Can’t figure it out yet.

To preload the springs, u loosen the top but while the car is lifted, then u lower the car, then tighten the top bolts to proper torque..and to adjust height, u use a spanner wrench which should be supplied and you turn the collar that the springs are sitting on..

Yeah when i put mine one, the brass color bottom mount is twisted as far as it could go up and then i lower the two black spring perches about an inch, give or take. And I'm running 205/40-17 and the top of the tire is even with the fender lip on all for corners on level ground . My fender lip is about 23.5 inches from the ground, measured from the center line of the axle nut, up and down of course.
Yeah i get funky noise when i drive around, I just thinks its from the coil-over itself and/or the tire rubbing depending on how turned the tire is. I don't think it's bottoming out.

since you lowered your car, could it be your exhaust hitting your LCA since it is now closer to your exhaust?
You said you also ajdusted the bottom perch all the way up, this would raise your car, you would want to lower the perch so the overall shock/spring is shorter.

^^^^^^^I know my exhaust was hitting my LCA when i did my install had to have new piping made that would clear the LCA, but then again I have ITR LCAs, so heads up to anyone that is running the ITR coilovers on their EG

Put them on, eyeball them, then lower then down accordingly. The thing is that you have to ride around on them aggresively in order to know how low the spring and shock will set. I had the same problem with my Tein, they fit right now.

so the adjustable lower collar can be twisted without loosening it from the fork(rear) and the other parts that it is secured to at the bottom? basically loosen the black lower collar lock and im ready to adjust the cars height some more.... (btw this is after its been preloaded, lowered, set and driven for a couple of weeks and now i want to adjust it....)

If you want to do that then do it. If you're good with the ride height then don't do anything. Remember, the entire cars ride is determined by the back right coilover. Plus when you set them know that the front right and left coilover may carry more wieght than the others. Know what kind of things you're going to put the car through and then change the right height accordingly.
