Maybe you can see something there. The bolt you're looking for is #66.

driver side rear of the tank...most likely it is all covered in undercoating, road kill, pubic hair, and everything else imaginable in the past 12 years. Start scraping crap off the tank

go to the driverside rear wheel and look at the tank from behind the wheel and it is on the left corner (your left as you look at the tank.. its right at the corner. and its a 13 or 14 screw. just pull off your gas cap and unloosen the bolt. done.
remember its on the driverside (left) corner. if you cant find it now , your hopeless.

ok dude, you dont need to drain your old gas, yes its old and it probalyl dosnt work as well, but c'mon dude, do you know what oil is? its been sitting in the ground for millions of years, i dont think 2 years in your gas tank will hurt it. besides i did the same thing w/ my Del Sol after i made my swap, and it ran fine w/ the old *** gas. granted there was only a lil bit in there, but it still ran fine. had to filler up afterwards

Re: HELP ME GET MY MOTOR runing tonight (Apocolipse269)
2 years old gas sitting there can be too contaminated with water to want to put thru a new motor. If you want to store gas like that use seafoam in the tank. My lawn mower owners manual said dont use gas that sat for more than 3 months, and only keep enough gas for that 3 months worth of yard work.

sorry, you are incorrect. you need to drain the old gas and put new stuff in.
the longer gas sits the more it breaks down, with current unleaded gas its around 3 months before breakdown begins. if you are incredibly lazy or just give up go get some of the fuel stabilizer **** any auto parts place sells and add a can of octane boost to help. do NOT DRIVE HARD till your tank is empty.

That fuel stabilizer works great. But it's actually something you add BEFORE you store your car. Once the gas has gone to **** there's no real magic way to get molecules to bond back together.
I still say drain it before you go and waste a full tank of perfectly good 101 octane gas.
