Default Ok so Nice and slow vs Fast and ghetto

Ok so I have the chance to buy one of two grey 92 cx hatchs'

first one, has quite a few door dings, the interiour isn't in that great of shape but it has a d16z6 with a custom t3 turbo setup. Technicaly the car has 190k miles on it.

The other is in realy good condition has 119k miles on it but the stock shitty 70 hp engine. Although it does have nice wheels on it and civic si seats and a audio system.

They are both the same price.

The thing is that this car is technicaly going to be my daily driver as I have a 94 3000gt that is kinda the project car. Lazerus is curently making custom manifolds for it and it will one day be pretty mean.

The kinda gheto one is pretty quick even though its only running 4 psi due to a lack of supporting fuel mods. And I could race it for fun.

But the other one is nice, better for a daily driver but I wouldn't wana try to race it unless I dumped some money into it.

I duno I guess I just have to pick one and go with it but I though maybe you guys could shed some light on something I haven't thought of.

ghetto and fast, nothing pisses a kid with a clean car and a nice set of rims with a body kit, then getting their doors blow off by an ugly beat up looking car....

I say nice&slow. its always good to have a nice+clean start, you dont know how that motor was treated, you can always do the same setup to the clean car, and baby it

If you already have a project car and this civic will be your daily driver, it would probably be smarter to get the nicer hatch with a stereo since you will be in this car every day, also the stock cx engine will get better gas mileage and probably be more reliable than the other car

If it's going to be a daily driver, I woudn't buy a worn out turboed d16(especially since it wasn't you who built it). You never know what kind of problems you will run into. You don't want the civic to become your second project car, do you? You want something reliable, so go with the stock nice and slow.

i say nice and slow. Throw your money into that Mitsu not into a high mileage car that you have no idea about the efficiency of the turbo

I'm with Nice and Slow. It's not that hard for you to make a slow car faster. But its' hard to make a high mileage ugly car seem newer and nicer.

The car with that many miles and those mods just shows that the owner abused it. The engine probally wont' last, and the suspension is probally on it's way out. New steering and suspension components are $$$. The fact that the owner never cared to make the car seem more decent shows something too.

Nice and slow. Just drive it and save your dough for a swap and suspension etc. Nothing's going to make the dude with the kit and rims laugh harder than when you try to smoke him and your ghetto rig ***** itself. If you want fast ghetto, build it yourself and then you can smile when you toast Mr. Pretty Car whose ride is financed by mommy and daddy.

go with the nice n' slow...

you'll never know what that person with the "turbo single cam" did with it before you.....you will probably be seeing problems with it to, more-so than the stocky CX

if it were me, go with the reliable CX and build your 3kGT

nice and slow so you dont have to worrie about cops hassling you(for the time being ) and having to spend money on tickets rather than fixing up the things wrong with the fast and ghetto one.
