OK, so I was just hit again after just fixing my right side! How much damage?
Hey all, some of you may remember I recently posted about someone side swiping my car on the passenger side on the right side (Link here https://honda-tech.com/zerothread?id=2239660 ) and had asked for help about removing the other car's paint. Well I used rubbing compound and EVERYTHING looked PERFECT after buffing it all out. My car looked like nothing had ever hit me. I paid $2.99 for the rubbing compound and $3.00 for my buffer's bonnets. He gave me $600 cash on the spot, so I was happy.
OK, 3 weeks later, DAMN IT!, someone else does the same crap to me. I'm driving on the left hand lane and some lady in a 2008 Corrola decides to come into my lane. I honk and honk, and nothing, still coming into my lane. I attempted to slow down so she didn't dompletely ruin the whole side of my car, and unfortunately I didn't slow down enough, and this is what happened.
No settling this time. Cops came and everything. After 40 min of sitting in the median with the other driver and the cop, everything's done. He tells me I'm all set and I could leave, and as I'm walking to my car, I see him writting her a ticket (Of course, she was 100% at fault) and when I got home and read the police report, I saw the ticket she got was for "Improper Lane Change"
So anyway, Insurance is coming on Tuesday to look at the car. We both happen to have progressive which makes things 374932 times easier for them. Any idea how much the adjuster may give for this damage? Foglight is cracked too by the way. And that's the 3rd time that same friggin wheel gets that hub cap destroyed!!!!
Thank you all.
Unfortunately I won't get off easy this time by simply using rubbing compound to buff away the scratches

Honestly, using BRAND NEW, already painted parts, thats probably $5-600 in damage. (Like if you buy a pre-painted bumper and fender from Ebay for example) However your sig says you own a 92, so they have a high chance of totaling it and try giving you like $350 for it...
My buddy got rear-ended in his 95 Escort, the busted the rear bumper cover, and bent the muffler, insurance company did just that, Gave him $350, said it was totaled.

err.... that would suck if they decided to total it..... On 11/2006, some asshat hit only my driver door and fender and ran from me, but not before me getting his license plate number. He was uninsured. My insurance gave me $872 for it.. (Since I have have comp and collision)

Yea, you're fine then. You will probably get like $6-7 hundred for it, a door is a wee bit more expensive than a bumper cover.

I would love an EX coupe bumper but I thought it wouldn't line up correctly with a sedan?

Just got a call back today and am going to pick up the check. Estimate was $1,196 for damages and that's what the check was for. You guys had me all worried about my car being totaled and stuff Good thing Honda holds its resale value. So yea, I get to keep my car and get a nice check. Thanks all!

Just picked up and deposited check. I was wrong about the amount. Check was for $1,324.04. How much do you think it should cost to fully paint a front bumper and how much to fully paint a passenger front fender?

They called me back to let me know that the fog light wasn't covered since it's not a part of the car. I said "That's quite alright." Another thing I noticed they missed is my hub cap, but, I can't really complain now can I?

Wow man - $1300 for a fender, corner light, and a bumper?
Do you feel even a little bit guilty!!?!?! lol
Spend a few days looking and pick up a used white fender, bumper, and corner lamp at a junkyard.

Would this be an ok deal? I'd pay for the painting through them as well. I called and spoke to them and the parts are guaranteed to fully fit and line up 100% or they will replace it. They are CAPA certified which I had no idea what that meant, but also noticed that on my insurance estimate, it also says CAPA on there. Insurance obviously will not pay for OEM parts since the car is old, but I'm still fine with aftermarket parts.

Front Bumper + Shipping + Painting
$19.95 + $59.95 shipping + $165 painting (Base + clear coat) = $244.90
http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors...64892
Passenger Fender + Shipping + Painting
$42.95 + $39.95 shipping + $150 painting = $232.90
Corner turn signal housing I could get for like 20 bucks for the set locally, and hub caps, like 20 dollars for a set of 4.
Does this all work out well do you think?

The bumper you are thinking of ordering painted is good quality. I've gotten two integra front bumpers down by them when converting to a 98 front end and it matched very well. May be a little off seeing as how hard white is to match, but for the money it should do the job and give you plenty for fog and corner lights.

dude, only if you lived closer to me, I'd paint your parts for about $100 a piece, and that covers paint supplies (base, clear, prime), quality stuff too.
Hell, 3 years ago when I was out of a job, I use to paint fenders for $50 labor (paint supplies were extra) and bumpers for $75.
