ok i am looking to run 11's on slicks
now how much money would i need to do so.
i have a 93 SI hatch shell everything on it but the engine compartment is empty and waiting for whatever i can get in it.
NOW how much would i need to be putting to the wheels to do this i really would be happy with 12's on drag radials and keep it NA and as daily drivable as possible.
i was thinking of spending about 6-8 would that be enough to get me into 11's on slicks and 12's on radials?
and i have a friend who is a major mechanic here in daygo so the stuff aint goign to cost me much.

H22a with i/h/e and a 150shot = 11's on slicks
I say just get a B-series and boost the hell out of it.

I am so tired of seeing posts like that. Decide what you want not what other random people say. And you just want an 11 second car so you can own all the cool street racer kids. [\rant]

Re: ok i am looking to run 11's on slicks (whitemike1644)
I don't think that it's impossible to have an everyday driven all motor street car that runs 11's on slicks. I have run a personal best of 12.4@108.9 in my car and I drive it everyday. My setup is pretty mild compared to most considering I am running "off the shelf" Honda parts and my compression is about 11.3:1. There are also a couple of guys around here with B20/vtec running 12.1-12.2 all motor adn we are all in street class. As far as doing it for under 8k, HELL NAWW!!! I doubt it. Especially in a heavy SI.

it's possible for you to build a crvtec motor with a 80 shot. that would run 11's on slicks. even with the motors that importbuilders(over 230 hsp NA) are producing, i don't think they're true, long term, daily drivers. but they will run 11's.

Re: ok i am looking to run 11's on slicks (Mrfirefox)
Gut the **** out of it. Build a sleeved 84mm ls block with good aftermarket pistons and rods with a c/r of 10.5 to 11.0. put an ls head on it. You should be able to find a cheap used ls head that already has port work and valve train. Put it together with arp head studs. Put a 150 shot on it. This still might cost more than 8k if you also need dist, trans, axles, mounts, ecu, etc. but its the cheapist way I can think of. I know a guy that ran 10.9 in a crx with a similar set up.

Re: ok i am looking to run 11's on slicks (Newman)
aite cool basically its just that i do have a few options i am getting 13000 back from my RSX because it was a lemon and my girl is willing to help me with all the **** i need. so i have money to use right now.
ia m goign to meet up with the mechanic today but i was just wondering what kind of info yall could give me as in which way to go
i mean i was thinking type R swap but i don't know what times i would run. and what i would have to do to it to get me into 12's.
and some are saying GSR and build that, because they are saying you can do more to a GSR than you can to a type R. and the type R built and the GSR build will be a lil more reliable than doing a built LS/Vtec am i wrong?
just looking for some info because most of the people in here are in the 12's thats why i am looking for info from you guys but basically i was just looking to put about 6 intot he motor and then what ever it will run me on the suspension and i am trying to keep the interior decent not FULLY gutted

I hope you don't plan on boosting an 150 shot on an internally stock H22A.

Re: ok i am looking to run 11's on slicks (TREVER)
My buddy who bought Jeff`s old hatch did 12.50`s w/ an 80 shot. h22 with i/e/h. Pretty basic setup, nothing fancy at all.

so if it offended you by asking what you guys think i should do **** sorry i ever asked.
everyone else thanx for your info i basically figured out which estup i am going to go with.
but i am not going with that hatch ia m goign with another because there was too much frame damage so i don't want to deal with the mounts not fitting right and my engine mbeing crooked

check out importbuilders.com different set up and dyno graphs , so you can have an idea of how much hp you need and also the cost of some products .

i think if you have to ask it wont happen
maybe 13s but not 11s allmotor daily driven... there are only a few 11 second 'daily driven' civics out there
