Default Oil Weights in SoCal

Hey,

I searched around and couldn't find anything regarding regions and oil weight (hrm, food for thought for later for a FAQ?).

I always have put 10w30 in my car, I live in NY. I'm going out to Cali for a few, I was wondering what weight you guys put in your car out there. From what research I've done it seems people are putting 5w30 or 5w20 for the most part.

Any SoCal'ers have any suggestions?

i'm not from cali but i'd say you'll be good with 5w30.
i've always ran 10w30 like you since that's what the motor says to run.

Temperate climate - 5w30 should be fine, though staying with 10w30 should not hurt except for a mild reduction in gas mileage.
