oil spill in my engine bay! ;[
i have a 99 ex and i removed the valve cover the other day to paint it. i did NOT replace the valve cover gasket and now, i discovered that my car threw up oil all over the place. it is also still leaking. im going to change the gasket but how do i make sure it is sealed correctly?
also, to check oil levels, how do yo uknow when youre really low. id say the oil is up to where the 2 dots is and thats it. is it safe to just dump a quart of oil in and thats it? thanks guy ;[
ps, can i use simple green and spray on the block etc

to make sure the gasket is sealed use a new gasket and honda bond. You can definietly use simple green. My motor looked like crap, but now it looks new. Make sure you clean off the simp green so that it doenst mess with the finish on the block

lower dot? you should be fine at higher dot. add as much oil as needed. keep checkin' dip stick and wipin' till you reach tha higher dot.

damn do yo uneed that honda bond to seal it?
all i did was get a new gasket and i closed it
i think the main problem is one of my bolts dont tighten like before therefore causing the leak.
wish me luck guys, well find out tommorow.
