No pics yet but I put mine between radiator and tranny mount. I mounted the relocator on the frame. In EG civic.

Re: Oil Relocation Opinions.... (ApolloSpeed)
no, oil pump is pumping oil in all directions through the motor.
There is only a couple psi pressure drop and it is not because of the oil filter facing that way (mine is also) it is because there is more line for the oil to pump through, putting just a hair more strain on the oil pump.
I run an oil cooler also on my daily driven turbo GSR.

Re: (BROKE.eg)
with my stock b16 intake mani, i can reach the filter from the top. if you have the money to make an oil change easier, by all means, do it. i personaly would spend the money on a fuel pump so i can bump the nitrous up to a 75 shot.

Another reason i did mine is to make adding simple locations to hook up oil temp and oil pressure sensors and an oil feed line for my turbo setup.

i think the oil would drain out back into the oil pan since its angled once the oil pump stops pumping

That would be great. Then every time you start the engine after its been sitting, you're starting a dry engine. Let the shavings fly.
Good oil filters have an anti drain back valve.
You can get the oil pan bolt just by reaching your arm underneath the car. To get the filter in the stock position you have to slide your whole *** under there so you can reach up in that little gap and unscrew the filter. Then all the oil drips down the block into your catchpan. You can't really see what you're doing if you want to wipe the mating surface clean. The way you guys are talking, I wonder if you have ever even changed your own filter.
I relocated the filter on my Corolla and put in an oil cooler all in one shot. I wanted to do this to the Civic, but I didn't want to have a long hose vulnerable to just about anything. I wanted the filter pointing straight down and very accessible, but I never thought of a way without using a super long hose, so I lost interest.

Ok, how much of that is actually practical and how much of that is just so he can show off his probably $30 imported mugen oil filter?
I can see how maybe somebody absolutely pushing his engine to the limit might want this and save a coupe degree's of oil temperature, useful for running the brickyard 400 or something, but to make oil changes easier? Come on, reach hand down and twist.
But more on topic, if I were doing it I'd put it somewhere like the first pic where extra oil can spill on the ground and not on the car.
