Oil problems with my 96 EK hatch????
i recently changed my oil for my ek hatch and the engine is stock i put 3.5 quarts of oil and waited about an hr for the oil to settle when i check the dip stick it read nothing. it was dry as a bone so i added another .5 quarts and i got a little change but still not normal... does this happen to anyone else....... what could the problem be.... if you have am info let me know thanks

If you weren't on level ground as CB7VTEC said that could cause some issues. But the D16Y7 only takes ~3.8qts, so 4 is more than enough. Should be up to the second hole.

shouldve be fine w/ the amount of oil you added, as stated above.
make sure the car is on level grounds, let the motor run for a few, and check oil level. should be ok. goodluck

that might have been the problem cause i live by hills thanks guys esp for the extra advice i thought that it only too 3.5 but now i know its 3.8 thanks again
