Re: oil problem (dylokjai)
If I said it's normal, would that answer suffice?
It's thought that the high revving nature of the Honda motors make it "normal" to burn a little off.
It's also a normal trait of Mobil 1. So, combine the two, and it's slightly exaggerated.
I use Mobil 1 0W-20 in my bone stock 26,000 mile 02 Si, and it's down a quart by about 6000 miles.
Not that the K20A3 in my car is high revving, but I do use Mobil 1.
It's been discussed on http://www.bobistheoilguy.com if you care to read more into it.
And not all cars will burn oil, making it even more confusing.

Re: oil problem (jdmjade)
My D16z6 with ~111,000 miles uses NO oil not even a little, and I use Mobil 1 5w-30 and I rip VTEC all the time, is that like a sign that my motor is in really good shape? I mean I swear to God I fill it right to the full line on the dip stick and everytime I change it (Every 2500 miles) its still exactly on full, not even a centimeter lower

Possibly. But I loose 1qt every 3K miles in my D16Y8 (110K miles). I rev high, and hit VTEC alot; but I just tested my compression, and it's 210 across the board. So the motor is healty, just burns a bit. Mobil 1 will burn off faster than other syns as well.

Re: oil problem (DelSolSi93)
well,I know that your car doesn't relate to this example, but I have heard that cars that never used synthetic oil b4 will eventually leak from hard to spot places once the switch to synthetic is made.I myself have a d16z6 with like100,000 miles on it and I switched to synthetic oil [castrol syntec 10-40 all year round]like 2 yrs ago and the car has never burned or leaked oil.Maybe, you should try castrol oil. How long have you been using syntec oil?
