Do i need to "T" at the block on the sender unit?...

If i dont will it send the ecu into safe mode? (b16a2)

Yes you will need to T off the block where the stock sender sits. And yes, it's a 10 dollars sensor that just kicks the idiot light on if it doesn't sense and pressure.

BTW, the sender is just above the oil filter on the back of the block.

i did a diy when i had my rsx. you can hook it up with the greddy sandwich adapter/stainless line, and remotely mount the sender.. i ended up taking it out of that car and putting it in my wrx, hated that car and put it in my 00Si (finally own a car)! If anyone is interested in a "safe" way to do it without any worries check it out..

This is a good idea... just use a 1/8" fitting and some hose/braided line... mine broke off in the block and it was a pain to remove ("easy out" my ***)
