oil on plugs! help!
well i am still in the process of doing my ls swap into my civic. and i was changing the spark plugs. i took the old ones out, but noticed a decent amount of oil on them. i was like wtf! so i just put the new ones in and started the engine a few times. revved it up a little. then checked the new plugs. there was still oil on them. what would it be? how do i fix this? thanks.

i noticed some oil in my plugs too..as it turn d out it was the "O" ring seals that need to be placed..from honda u can t just buy one..uve got to buy the entire kit..i beleive there is something like 13 seals involved..and the cost of the kits as i remember was about $15

if it was on the electrode itself.. your in trouble....
if it was on the just the threads... then its most likely
the spark plug o-ring gaskets....
while ur at it... replace all the valve cover gaskets...
its about 45.oo for all

take it all out, replace the o rings and gasket, then run a couple of days and take a couple of plugs out, if dry, you are fine, if oil on the tip, then you gotta get some work done on your piston rings, etc.
start with the easy and cheap solution first.

if its on the electrode (white part with tip)
then ur piston rings are gone....or ur valve seals.. you'll most likely
see white smoke comin out ur tailpipe..
