Oil Pan Gasket install
Hey guys first time posting here. Got a sohc 00 civic hatchback. Got an oil leak around the oil pan area. Pretty sure its the o.p gasket though it could also be leaking from the main seal. Just wondering how much was involved changing out the gasket?Looks like the exhaust needs to be removed than the mounting piece for the tranny, as it is in the way. Oh it not leaking that bad so I might wait till spring to change. Whats all involved? and if anyone has some tips that would be great thanks!!

never changed one on a d series but on a b series you have to take off the header, which is maybe 10 or 12 bolts total, then the flywheel cover because its in the way of a few oil pan bolts which is another 4 bolts, and then the oil pan itself which was way too many freaking bolts.
basically its not a hard job just a million bolts and lots of procedure.

Ya clutch cover and exhaust manifold (header) has to come off. You might be able to do it without removing it but doing so makes it much easier. Make sure to put sealant on the oilpan after to seal it up too.
I would check the crank seal cause when that leaks it leaks oil right down onto the oilpan. If you take off the cover and see oil drops where the timing belt is then it could be the crank seal.
