Default Oil in my intake

On my 94 Civic the hose the goes from the top of the valve cover to the side of the intake tube is blowing a good bit of motor oil into my intake and the engine is then sucking it down. This just has started. The car is very hard to start when its hot and seems to have lost power. I need to know whats going on with this.

That is called blow by. Its when pressure from the combustion chamber is seeping past the piston rings more than normal. Depends on how bad it is but most likely its time for a rebuild or a new engine.

I would say to check the pcv. If you had that much blow by i think the car would run like crap. not to metion if your rings where that bad it would be hard to start when cold not warm, considering when the engine is warm the metal expands.

first things first this is a pressure vent that works with the pcv system. so start with a pcv valve

I changed the PVC valve yesterday and it ran MUCH better. Now tonight its back to doing this. I havent checked the valve to see if it clogged up like the old one was yet. If it is then what could be causing this? This sucks cause I stalled out at a red light and I had to push it through an intersection to a gas station cause it wouldnt start back up.

Haha, damn that blows. You're intake must be sucking that stuff up pretty good. Does it run better if you just put a breather on it?

It runs like a rapped ape if I take that hose off and plug the hole in the intake tube and clean the oil out of it with carb cleaner. But once it starts spraying oil back into the intake it chokes the engine with oil. That alone leads me to think its not blow by. Ever since Ive had the car its used a little oil but yet no leaks, no smoke EVER, kinda strange.

very weird indeed, take ur valve cover off and see if somehow oil is being splashed into the PCV. ofcourse the PCV operates by sucking out fumes from the valve train/block etc and burning it I really wonder how oil is splashed in there.

i just stuck a breather on my valve cover.

im not worried about it. if my motor goes...its a d series so i dont care. i would rather swap another one in place of it rather than rebuild it.
