Default Oil light.. Pressure?? 92 Honda civic dx, need help

Ok.. I just got this 92 honda civic dx... The car runs great but here is the problem.. It starts just fine until it gets pretty warm and then the oil light comes on and the motor starts to make a knocking sound.. Any idea what the problem may be?? I need to get this thing fixed asap! Thanks

You have a spun bearing.. lack of oil pressure.. and i think the Oil light comes on if there is anything below 10 psi.

need new bearings.. might need some machine work on the crank and make sure everything is within spec.

Dont drive the car any more cause you will have big holes in the engine very soon

It's likely that your oil heats up, loses viscosity which leads to the drop in oil pressure. You almost certainly have a bad journal bearing somewhere. If you were driving it with the oil light on for some time you will have an expensive repair.
