Oil Light On During Idel
Im having alittle trouble with the civc, Maybe you could help me come up with a soultion?
I was having problems of leakage with my old pan so I got another one and welded a -10 fitting on to it. Welded the fitting inside the pan and out, Bough a SS -10 line with areo fit fittings. Well Today I had a little extra time at the shop so I went ahead and installed it all. Thinking this would solve all my problems Right.. Well it didnt lol. Now my oil light comes on when Im at idel and there is small amounts of oil in between the Hot and Cold sides of the turbine. I checked the oil level and its kinda over the fill mark. Any Ideas?
Along with this problem My boost gauge reads 25hmg of Vacum this scares me because it never used to do this and my gauge tops out at 30 lol. When I first installed everything it would read 15 (tops 20)
Let me know what you think.

Re: Oil Light On During Idel (CTR_B)
I'd try a new oil pressure sending unit, see if that makes a difference. Dad had an old dakota that the oil light would come on in at idle all the time and we put a new sending unit on it and it turned out thats all it was. If that doesn't help put a manual oil pressure gauge on it, if the oil pressure is low i'd say its time for a new oil pump.

Re: Oil Light On During Idel (94EG8)
I just want to make sure that it is the pump before I go digging into it to find out its some thing else.
Could to much oil cause the light to come on?
Im thinking I might just try to find another blcok

no too much oil would not make it come on. why a new block when you could try what 94eg8 said. it's what i was getting at with your oil pump probably on it's way out.

I havent heard it about the CTR pulleys but I have heard that about other crank pulleys due to the harmonics...

x2 except I'd say electric oil pressure gauge (mechanical can fail or line can fail and poof you have a floorboard/dashboard full of oil and none in your engine)

When I put this motor together 3years ago I did not hear anything bad about them As this is an OEM Honda Crank pulley. As you said I did hear this about other Knock off types
