oil leak .. what is this? and what should i do?
ok i replaced my oil pump on my y8 for better flow, after i replaced it i was leaking a little oil right from under it, i looked under the car and thought my oil pan gasket was pinched between the block and pan. so i dropped my pan today but everything was fine, so i'm leaking from this part, it looks like some kind of seal, but im' not sure if it should be visible like it is or if its suposed to be pushed in or something. heres a pic .. what should i do?

well a week ago my engine was fine, since then i took off the pan today saw that.. so i dont think its really bad yet .. i havent been knocking or heard any weird stuff, so right now i'm checking all the rod bearings, and i'm going to replace them

looks like your losing oil pressure and your rod/ main bearings are getting ate up. and thats your timing cover seal aka oil pump seal thats leaking.

you could get standard size from a parts store and they set you at like .014/.015 thats what i use when i rebuild my engines. keeps every thing nice and lubed. ACL is good so is clevite engine bearings.... good luck.

well i checked out helms and i talked to my uncle that works at honda .. and i ordered the bearings that corresponded to the crank and the rod .. its how honda says to choose the bearings. i matched up the letter and number and did that.
so should i put lube on both bearings and on the crank when i install them? and what kind of lube should i do if i need to.
also, to make my life worse, a thrust washer fell out and i can't get it back in, any tips on how to do this.. and should i lube it up?
