oil leak around bolt heads on top of valve cover (D16Y8)
Last year I purchased a rebuilt D16Y8 from Kar King in California. Since then I have had to replace the rear main seal, the VTEC unit/solenoid is leaking oil and now I am noticing oil starting to pool around the bolt heads of the valve cover.
Could the VTEC unit be blowing oil across to the other end of the valve cover?
Is it possible for oil to be thrown up from the rocker arms/camshaft to the underside of the valve cover and leak out through the valve cover bolts?
Do the valve cover bolts have seals under the heads that could be replaced?
I am getting tired of chasing oil leaks on this motor. I can't keep throwing money at it like this. I have never seen a motor with this many oil leaks before.

Leaks happen; the joy of an older vehicle.
Pick up valve cover gasket kit; comes with valve cover gasket, spark plug gaskets and the hold down bolt seals.

Agree with Joesatov go get a new valve cover gasket itll cost you not more than $20 for that and easy to install... While youre at it clean the cover if theres any gunk on it. The gasket on the bolts sometimes is hard to pull out especially when they are toasted... Friendly advice do not use any compressor tools on it... loosen it up and tighten it up just using hand tool.. Well good luck!
