Default oil dipstick

are the z6 and y8 oil dipsticks the same? my y8 one is broken and i have a z6 on laying in the garage.

did that and it came out dry. i have the 3.5quarts of oil in it already. i put the dipstick next to the dipstick holder and it barely reach's to the oil pan so im guesing no.

do you have the old stick? put em side by side as long as the metal thinigie that goes in the shaft thing is the same lenght it should b good if u dont have the old stick go to a junk yard and get one for like $2

no the only part i have of the y8 one is the top **** part, the rest is broken off and i never even had it. ill proly just pick another one up tomorrow from either honda or a junkyard.

I can tell you all '96-'00 D-series dipsticks are the same part number.

i think the 5thgen to the 6th gen is different due to the placement of the dipstick on the block, but ill find out tomorrow hopefully.
