Does the oil cooler helps the motor at all....or its just a waste of money???

it helps cool the oil, obvoiusly. whether it's a waste of money or not would depend on what you're doing with the car. for a street car, why bother? a road racer, it can come in handy.

Depends on what youre doing with the car...
If youre just street driving and the car is basically stock, its probably pretty pointless.

California is a warm place...but not warm enough to need it on a stock or even mildly modified daily driver.
It wouldnt hurt anything...just your wallet
