oil change, how much is too much? (4.50L instead of 4.00L)

Default oil change, how much is too much? (4.50L instead of 4.00L)

is 0.50L more than service manual capacity too much?

this is the first oil change I don't do by myself and this is what happens, blah

from service manual:
oil change: 3.7L
oil change with new filter: 4.0L
oil change after engine overhaul: 4.8L

Drain the excess oil until the level is at the top mark.
