oil catch can????

Default oil catch can????

ok i have a question i am currently driving a 94 civic coupe Motor:
JDM B16A 92-95 SIR2 (170hp,113tq,10.4cr - Stock numbers / Actual numbers should exceed 200hp, but needs to be dyno tuned for accurate numbers)
1.6L DOHC VTEC
JDM OBD1 ECU chipped to run JUN Stage 3 Cams
LSD Tranny w/ GSR Clutch

and

Modification List:
JUN Stage 3 Camshafts
JUN Valve Springs
JUN Light Weight Flywheel
ITR Valves
Manly Retainers
ITR Intake Manifold
Ericks Racing Billet 68mm Throttle Body
Skunk2 Cam Gears
Port and Polish Head

Golden Eagle Sleeves

New Honda Bearings
New ITR Oil Pump

my question is do i need the oil catch can? i just got a yowai ss type wp carbon intake and i know i am not goin to like how it is going to look with all tubes running everywhere over the intake system the guy who had the car before me put the catch can on there just a simple question thanks for any reply

i don't think you need one..to be honest, i think oil catch cans are more for cosmetic purposes and for offroad vehicles. Either make your own or not have one at all, the amount you pay for a Cusco or branded one is not worth it for the amount of oil you'll be catching.

In my experience, oil catch cans are more beneficial in turbo engines.

You wouldnt gain any horepower or anything but for all the compression you have there is tremendous crancase ventilation pressure but if you dont want all that going back into your motor. But some people seem to say if you re-use it its better for seals
