oil blowing out of crankcase and filling head
1999 Si B16 with jackson SC. Just bought used engine and installed Super charger. Drove for a while and found low on oil. Head is puddling with oil.

Re: oil blowing out of crankcase and filling head (dohcdelsol93)
Positive crankcase ventalation valve.
Your PCV valve sounds like it's bad-- it's the plastic 90° tube which is snapped into the black box on the rear of your block. There's a hose that goes onto the other end. Pull it off and shake it. If it clicks, it's good. If it doesn't, it definatly needs to be replaced.
The only way that your rings could be bad is if the gap in them was made too small-- which if it was a used engine, is unlikely, but if there's forged pistons in there, then the installer of the pistons may or may not have filed the rings to the correct clearances. If your rings or ring lands or bad, you wouldn't have the pressure to fill the head through the breather with oil.
goodluck.
