oil around head gasket
I noticed today that there is a slight amount of oil around my head gasket underneath where my cam gears are, I have the valve cover cut away(yes its dumb but I tune regularly) and I can see its damp there with oil/residue. Maybe I am over reacting, the engine is a B16 with a T3/T4 turbo kit and an inline pro headgasket to lower compression. I am thinking it might be that it has an aftermarket head gasket(one that is considerably thicker than stock) but any input besides people raving that my engine is gonna explode please post and give me input.

It's all over. Send me your engine.

Did you pep the headgasket when you installed it? Any copper spray used on it? Did you torque the cylinder head to spec?

Re: oil around head gasket (fastrunner)
could be as simple as your valve cover
i noticed when i was running my engine with the valve cover just sitting on the head it was leaking through the valve cover gasket and of course depositing around the headgasket area by the tranny...
