the castrol rep told my dad not to on his scooby, so i wasn't sure of how it worked on my honda, and your support is always so helpful jdmsol, you get so technical and non-opionated

is your dads car new? its not good to break your motor in with synthetic oil, maybe thats why the castrol rep said that.

Geez fellas, give him a break there is nothing wrong with his question. It depends how many miles the motor has. If the motor has low miles then Yes, you can just switch to FULLY synthetic motor oil on your next oil change. But if you've been using regular non-synthetic oil and your motor is in the higher mileage range then don't bother.... just keep using regular oil.
