hey guys im having a problem and im kind of scared...this happened 2 my boy and soon after his car hit the fan.

ok here is whats going on
i went 2 move my car 2day..let it warm up like always
then i drove away then i noticed that i was leaving a trail behind me
so i looked and the radiator OR SOMETHING is leaking anti freeze
im thinking its maybe a hose because the radiator is brand new
its like 1 or 2 months old
anyway it was leaking drops and it was so dark i could not really see

then i turn the car off and notice that the engine was on hot and it made sense because i did kind of see it smoking but i was not sure

so when im turning off the car i hear it like revving or something over and over
anyway i donno whats going on but something like this happened 2 my boys care and his **** is totaled right now

i know its time for an oil change so ima do that 2morrow get some new spark plugs and change the time belt and anything else i can do
but do any of u guys think u know whats going on with my car?
im kind of scared

im not sure what other problems could be going on with your motor other than that it is leaking anitfreeze. you shouldnt have had any problems from over heating, unless you have high compression and you had been driving it while the needle was on H.

a little more info would be helpful, but as fas as what you have already given me, it sounds like you just have a leak somewhere. get all new hoses and replace them.

i was thinking it was that
the leaking is not what worries me its the engine
revving like that just b4 i turned the car off...
i donno what that is
also that little bit of smoke i saw
ahh well i guess i'll get it looked at 2morrow by my machanic

It sounds like you have air trapped in you radiator hoses. That will usually cause the jumpy idle. Bleed the lines and you should be ok.

Sounds like your radiator is on the fritz. The loss of coolant would cause your car to overheat and you would see some steam come from the vicinity of the radiator. The surging idle problem is due to air pockets in youre engines cooling system. This happened to my old integra ls. I had to buy a new radiator and flush the cooling system to get rid of the air.

check to see if your hoses are rubbing on anything, i doubt it, but if they are that could be your problem

well i took my car 2 my mechanic because i didnt wanna deal with it but THANX ALOT for the help
it helped me 2 know that my car was not abouyt 2 hit the fan like my boys.
i just hope that its not gonna b alot of money 2 fix
i think i need new axels because when i turn the wheel sometimes i hear like a crc crick crick lol coming from the tire
(sorry no other way 2 explain it lol)
anyway so without even hearing it or seeing the car he said it might be my axels...
anyway how much do u guys think im looking at here...

with your old axles, both axles should cost you about 150 from kragen or autozone. they come with a lifetime warranty. depending on what kind of spark plugs you get, ngk's will run you about 10 bucks. a new oem timing belt will be about 60. a new oil filter and oil should run you about 15. a new radiator and fan could cost anywhere from 100 to 300, also depending on what kind you get.

you can get one from radiator.com for 100 bucks i think.

grand total from what i see...335-175. thats just my best guests and it DOENST include labor costs if you plan on getting everything done for you.

It will fit.

Make sure you get an OEM timing belt. I would also replace the water pump as long as your timing belt's off.

i want 2 change the intake in my car because i hear thats a good thing 2 do
im trying 2 hook my car up little by little so is this the best way 2 go as far as what 2 do next?

So.. you turn off your engine and your car still revs? or am I misreading something? Ghost?

adding an aftermarket intake system would be the best way to gain some performance. depending on your budget, you could buy an aem intake, or an autozone intake. either way, you are going to allow your engine to breath a little better and add a little power.

next, i would add an exhaust system and a dc header or something.

i mean i know what it looks like and where 2 put it but whats it for?
