OH GOD! BROKEN BOLT! with pics.
Hey there HT. This is my first thread that I have started here. Kinda excited about it. Anywho straight to the scary stuff. I broke the head of the bolt off of the one that holds the camber arm to the rear trailing arm. First bolt I have ever broke and I lost it haha.
Anyways, I am wondering if I should drill and tap and die, or (I know this might be dumb) try driving it to a shop to have it done. I also need another bolt impacted off (bolt that holds lca to trailing arm), which I would have done at the shop. What would be the consequences of it snapping or breaking?
Thanks for the help, and the last pic is just something positive that I got done today.
Thanks again HT!!
Josh

The bolt holding the upper control arm to the trailing arm? Just saw or grind the nut thingy off and replace it with a new Grade 8 bolt and nut. You got it easy.
Try spraying the bolts with Parts Blaster lubricant and working them out slowly. Like 1/2 turn out, 1/4 turn in, 1/2 turn out...

Use a cutoff wheel or hack saw and cut the bolt on the other side of the camber arm. The bolt is more than likely seized in there. Once you cut it you can press that bushing out and replace it while you use vice grips to back out the end of the bolt out of the trailing arm. My .02

your bushing looks shot anyway, it would be LOADS easier if you have a grinder to cut thru the bolt but yup, gotta start cutting man GL
