ACT street disc w/ xtreme pressure plate.

material: organic.
price : $700 CAD.
capacity: about 400 hp

nice smooth engagement. currently have 224 WHP it seems to hold well.

on big uphill runs, it starts to smell a bit. survived multiple 7000 RPM drops with slicks.

used for daily driving. far too heavy for extended traffic.

I have not used any other clutches on my turboed B18C so I cant really give it a grade out of 10.

I purchased the complete kit (with alignment tool) and am quite satisfied except for the heavy clutch effort.

performance wise, its great.

rating 8
South Bend 6 puck sprung disk with DXD-F pressure plate
material:Feramic material
price:NA
capasity: NA
i haven't gotten to use this clutch yet the only reason i got it was because a friend of mine is sponsored by them and he got me the same clutch he is using in his tallon i have installed some of there clutches befor just a kevlar 6 puck but didn't like it a all the pressure plate was very light lighter than stock i don't like that
so when i took my ACT to them i told them i wanted a disk with a little more stiffeness and a disk that would last
rating: TBA sooon

Pro Clutch Stage III 6 puck sprung hub

Purchased: Ebay from pro clutch

Material: Ceramic

Price: $220 USD shipped

Capacity: 270 whp

Quality: nice complete kit (pilot and throw out bearing, disc, pressure plate, and installation tool) with everything included, I'd give it an 8

Review: stock pedal feel, works excellent on the track with very solid feel during shifts. Not the most friendly disc for stop and go street driving (ceramic) engagement isn't nearly as smooth as a street type disc and can squeel a little (barely noticeable) during slow engagement while moving in traffic or starting from a stop. Good clutch overall though, especially for the price.

material: organic full face
price: i paid $250 with a flywheel

review: this clutch is f*ckin' sick! my brother has one on his 99si and i love them both. holds every gear well, grabs like a ****... hasn't ever slipped and the pedal is nice and firm. still can drive it daily, even the occasional stop-go driving....

rating: 9

Centerforce dual friction, on my sohc d15b, intake, header
material: organic full face
price: well i paid $50
capacity: not sure
review: felt just like stock, at least in pedal feel. grabbed pretty well, never felt slippage. i needed a stronger pressure plate, so i upgraded.

Clutch specialties stg.2 dual diaphragm solid hub clutch disc.

http://www.heeltoeauto.com

organic clutch disc

i paid i think 320-340 shipped 2 day

Quality: very good clutch grabs realy hard and will chirp 4th gear with no problem. the pedal is very stiff though but i am used to it now so i don't even notice it. even for the heavy pedal feel you can take off pretty smooth and shifts pretty smooth. only grabs hard when you need it to. i give it a 9 out of 10.

ACT HDSS
full disk
organic
ACT streetlite flywheel
Purchased from someone on the board I think around $475 out the door for the clutch kit and flywheel.....
It has slightly heavier pedal feel than stock but far from heavy.

Easy to drive in my 80+ mi daily commute in quite a bit of stop and go traffic. I want to say that it drives just like stock but its been so long since its been stock I can't remember. I do notice a tiny bit of slipping when I'm on it. I can't feel it but I can definitely smell it. d16y7-t ..

I'm waiting to kill this clutch so I can try out one of redzoneperformance's custom setups....

Clutch: Clutchmasters Stage 1

where you bought it: some place off of groupbuycenter.com

Material: Organic, full face

cost: ~$600 with Fidanza flywheel

pressure plate capacity: +70% over stock (hydro b-series)

quality: 8

Great looking piece, but showing some considerable wear after just ~10,000 miles (pretty hard miles tho). i swapped in a LS motor a short while ago and noticed some scoring and heat burn on my findanza flywheel. looks like im going to have to put a new insert in w/ my next clutch.

it drive just like stock and grips pretty well i guess.

Exedy stock replacement for d15b7 (EG DX)
Worked on my d16 crank as well.
$105 on clutchcityonline at one point.
Stock spec, comes with flywheel, and pressure plate.

Just like stock, never slipped yet, but I'm not making much more power (maybe 130whp) then stock anyway -.- Used on 3 different motors already, still a lot of meat, and no never slipped while dirving yet. almost 5,000 miles and still feels like day 1. (after broken in)

10 for stock replacement.

Exedy OEM replacement, organic, $200 (aprox) purchased from hnaparts.com. This clutch has zero bite, it has extremely smooth engagement, as it should, but I have driven other stock replacement clutches that grabbed better. I'd buy a different one if I had it to do over again.

I have the Eclutchmaster clutch. Supposedly rated for 400hp.
dual diaphram pressure plate w/ 6-puck sprung hub disc. Looks just like my old ACT.

I run a fidanza 7.5lb. flywheel in a stock GSR tranny. SC61 turbo at 1bar of boost, Clutch holds with no problems what so ever. Never any chatter, and light enough pedal pressure for daily driving. Eclutchmaster was clearing them out on ebay , and i got it for $225 bling bling Bang for the buck, you can't beat it!
