Default off a tooth? (pic of cam gears under timing light)

so lately my car has been acting up, it works fine when its cold, misfires, loss of power and bogging when it heats up. So i replaced the dizzy (with a used one i found on ebay), plugs and wires and stiill no improvement. I then suspected maybe its off a tooth, so i took the timing light, shined it on the cam gears (my valve cover is cut because it has adjustable cam gears) and i took a multi-burst pic (takes 12 pics in 1 second, pics are small but its the only way i could do this). Heres what i found:

In the pics, it looks like the teeth on the cam gears arent lined up perfectly (its off a little bit, its not because of the angle of the pic, they really are off). Sorry the pic is small but thats how it does it with multi-burst.

I know your going to say "thats because of your adjustable cam gears". They're both set to 0 degrees and i havnt touched them.

Could my intake cam be off 1 tooth like it looks like in the pic? Could that be why my car is running so shitty? Let me know thanks!

That photo isn't very helpful. Pull the valve cover, rotate the crank to TDC, and then take another photo of the cam sprockets.

do you understand how to properly use a timing light?

unless this is some new light i'm unaware of, it isn't to point light at your cam gears.

please follow padawan's directions, if you don't undestand how to find if you're timing is off then go to the faq, there's a head gasket install walk through on a b18c which will show you how.

Now hold on and think about this.

Do you think that tdc is only on the crank?
You can use this to check your cam gear('s) tdc position also. Note: I said check!

I congrat's the OP for thinking of doing this.
