i wold honestly stick to honda genuine parts when it comes to seals, o rings and gaskets. oem stuff you buy at like autozone or oreilys isnt always perfect, they may have fitment issues, so i say just stick to honda parts.

True OEM is original equipment manufacture. So an oem part is of the best quality no doubt!
Many after market companies like to use that term to sell their own products, and advertize their products under the term oem "replacement" or oem "style"....it doesn't really mean anything, you are still buying a non orm part....something to think about

I was under the impression that OEM was the genuine Manufactures parts. i.e. a oem denso radiator is also the honda manufactured part becuase honda contracted radiators to denso. So honda actually would not produce any radiators, yet their supplier meets Honda's high standards.

No, Genuine Honda Parts or HOP or OEM are all the same thing. I think the op is talking about the autozone type stuff that says "oem style" or "oem replacement".

same thing, only difference is the make. such as Ford, Chevy, ect...oem parts. OEM stands for original equipment manufactured. OEM honda parts, OEM ford parts, ect...
if you're buying gaskets, seals, timing stuff, i say get the cheaper stuff if its your DD. but if you plan on building it and stuff then get the reputable parts.

+1million.
I bought "oem replacement" si fogs, they felt really nice, and not cheap. But Ive had them for a couple months now and realized the f***** lenses are cracked.
