oem foglights on a 94 coupe

oem foglights on a 94 coupe
i hooked up the foglights like directions say but the foglights seem to drain my battery, i think it is two possibilities
1. connected the red power wire directly to the battery
2. bolted the ground wire to the metal bumper support
should i be grounding it elsewhere or should i have the power hooked up to the fuse box, i do have a relay and fuse connected to the power wire but i have the power source for the fogs straight from my battery, should i connect the power wire to a fuse for power?

the relays are wired into the fuse box under the dash and goes into the factory switch.
the ground wire location is fine. sounds like you either have a open ciricut somewhere or the relays aren't working correctlly causing them to stay on and "maybe" draining the battery- that's worst case senceiro
the red power wire should be wired into the igintion switch(there's a fuse that links you to it in the fuse box section under the dash) that will shut off the power whenever you turn off the engine.

Well, besides one of the positive wires from the relay that connects to the switch, the other heavier gauged positive wires from the relay should connect directly to the power and will/should be fused. The foglights pull quite a bit of power and must be connected directly to the battery, fused.
