Odometer doesn't work but everything else does.
My odometer is stuck right between 119,999 and 120,000. Either a coincidence or someone was trying to roll it back and failed. But everything else works fine. The speedometer might show a little faster than what I'm going (about 5mph faster) but I'm not sure since I just got the car. What could be the problem?
Should I just go ahead and get a new gauge? And if I do, which one can I get? I have a DX model with manual transmission and it has a tachometer.

You could take it apart to see if the gears are stripped or if something is stuck? You can replace the entire cluster from another 5 speed (any really si/ex are going to have a higher redline) or you could just get the speedo gauge from a car in the junk yard and throw it in.

I took mine apart before buying another one and it turns out that one side of that rod that holds little sprockets was out of place. I clicked it back in and everything started working perfectly.
