Odometer alterations...
I know everyone says it's illegal to swap gauge clusters in your car (IE: 92 CX with a 95 Si cluster) but I came across the law and was wondering what everyone else thought of my interpretation. It says:
"Unlawful to Alter Indicated Mileage CA Code# 28051: It is unlawful for any person to disconnect, turn back, or reste the odometer of any motor vehicle with the intent to alter thenumber of miles indicated on the odometer gauge."
Well it says you can't do it with the INTENT of altering the mileage. What if your only intent is to have a tachomoeter to monitor RPM?
Ahhh crap...now I feel like an idiot...in the next paragraph it says that you actually can replace the cluster as long as you reset the mileage on the new cluster to "0000" and annotate on the left door frame the old mileage and date it was replaced.
