odd question regarding idle and shifting....
i thought my throttle was sticking so i cleaned out the TB/greased the cable, still was sticking...figured that the THROTTLE POSITION (not the sensor) was off....it was closing too far and sticking closed which was what was also not allowing me to reach target idle (even with idle screw OUT it would only be at like 500rpm's).....so i just spent about 2 hours tweaking that little throttle position screw below the throttle cable bracket.....VERY sensitive, took me a long time to get it where i *think* is right. maybe i was wrong to do this? but it seemed like the only option....anyway....its the only thing i could think of that could cause the low idle....also it was sticking even when perfectly clean so i dunno....maybe im missing something here???
oh yeah forgot to mention this is a d16y7 TB on a d16y8 manifold on a d16y7 motor....obviously using the y8 throttle cable and all....also using the y8 throttle pulley on the y7 TB...its a clusterfuck basically....from my standpoint i couldnt get it to work properly any other way...
also, almost seems like the rpm's dont fall as fast as they should when shifting, like it'll jump up maybe 50-100rpm's and THEN fall....wtf would cause this? i think its been happening ever since i put in the motor...this causes me to not be able to shift very quickly....
plz advise...i know this sounds crazy...

Re: odd question regarding idle and shifting.... (ace1875)
it only has about 60,000 miles on it. the IM is a little older but it was cleaned out when it was put on the motor less than 10k ago. what are the throttle o-rings ive never heard that term before?
