OBX header for my stock one?
my friend got pulled overand the cop gave him a fix it ticket for his intake and header. he's gonna buy an AEM street legal intake, and he wants to trade me his header for my stock one. even trade. should i do it? i know OBX isnt the greatest but its gottah be better than a stock manifold correct? limme know what u guys think, maybe theres something im not looking at. oh yea motor is D16Y8. also, will a D16Y8 header fit on a D16Y7?('96 DX) and vice versa?

I heard that stock was actually pretty darn good, for well... STOCK! haha flowed pretty well already, and the only way to get a 'higher flow' header is like to go with a comptech one or spoon, mugen...

The court doesn't inspect your car. You have 2 options in 99% of these cases.
1) Fix it yourself and have a certifed mechanic sign off on it.
2) Have a certified mechanic fix it.
If I was your friend, I'd go the a "performance shop" and have the tech in the back just sign it for you.
I've gotten "fix it or ticket" before......exhaust, lighting, and brakes. I didn't change anything, went to court with my car, handed them the slip signed by a mechanic w/ business card. Ticket dropped, end of story.
The shop can't be held liable if you do the work. They just acknowleged the the corrections were made. For all they know you could be home a put it back the way it was after getting the slip signed.

hmm...so ur saying my stock manifold would perform better than the obx? got any literature to back this up cuz i really thought even tho its an OBX, it would be a little better than stock.

Stick with the stock one it's not even worth the time your gonna take just to put it on. Save your money and do it right the first time. Give your oxygen sensors a second chance Please I'm beggin you.
