OBDII to OBDI wiring
I just put a d16z6 into my 97 del sol s (non-vtec). I used the z6 wire harness. I'm getting a weird idle/driveability problem. It'll surge at low rpms ~1500-3000. I found this tech article about the iac wiring. http://www.turbod16.com/viewtopic.php?t=3572 Since the car is wired for a 3-wire iac and im using a 2-wire iac with this z6 engine. I followed the instructions exactly but when i removed pin a13 the car wouldnt start. and when i moved pin a14 to a12 it blew my ecu fuse. there was a wire in the a12 spot and it said in the instructions that it would be empty.
Anyone know how i should pin the ecu to fix this 3-wire to 2-wire iac problem??

Re: OBDII to OBDI wiring (rukawa1one)
i counted the pins wrong on the connector. I wired it like it says now. The idle is fine but i have a weird surge problem still at 1500-3000rpms. Not all the colors of the wire match the connectors on my del sol for the wires listed on that website for a 96-98 civic. Im going to stop by my old dealership at honda tomorrow and see if i can get the actual pages from the manuals copied for the colors and all. I still need to wire up for vtec.
