obd2b->obd1 swap jdm d15b into 2000 coupe HELP
so heres the run down my buddy baught a 93 hatch which was swapped out to a jdm d15b turbo as well.So he decided to put the swap in his 2000 coupe. So he started off with the ecu jumper harness which is 0bd2b->obd1.Then a p28 ecu.I have read up on what need to be done to swap from b to 1,which includes changing a 3 wire iacv to a 2 wire.Changing your injecotor plug ins, dizzy wiring, alternator. The white iat plug on the d15b head in now not connected,we have not wird vtec yet.But long story short he had the car out yesterday she worked fine the bov was whistling yada yada and we went to step her down and she bogged and died.We have tryed just about everything but timing issue. We have changed plug wires around, changed plugs double triple checked our connections.
Everytime you try and start the car she will almost start and then nothing. The plugs are soaked in gas everytime we check them.Im lost for ideas, ive searched around the web with no luck. They arebigger injectors and i believe he is running a t3 turbo.Im new to the turbo scene but why dont the car work anymore?
My ideas are the injectors are pouring too much fuel in but that wasnt an issue when it was in the eg.Theres a after market map that has a vaccumm line conncted to it,that we had to join his harness into.We had to lengthen the tps sensor wires.Theres no more crank sensor now as well.I HATE OBD2!!!! lol. One buddy that was with us did notice and small hairline crack in the injector but that wouldnt cause all the heartache of it running, dying and not starting.
Is it possible to use the stock injecotors with 7lbs of boost?

Re: obd2b->obd1 swap jdm d15b into 2000 coupe HELP
i never even thought of bringing that topic up.I got pics on my phone of silver box that was layed on top of another box over by the cluch fluid revesoir. The obd1 harness had it pluged in but the 0bd2b harness i was lost on i had no idea what to do with it.It had mitsubishi stamped into it and had like 4 white coated(fire proof)coated wired going into it with a black plug.Heres something similar you fellas might recognizehttp://www.google.ca/imgres?imgurl=http://i14.photobucket.com/albums/a313/Tippyman/EF%2520Hatchback/InjectorResistorBox1.jpg&imgrefurl=https://honda-tech.com/forums/showthread.php%3Ft%3D1572180&usg=__temaUlSowZRMoix 8SbwxRMok7U8=&h=396&w=526&sz=15&hl=en&start=0&zoom =1&tbnid=xo5OWFy-1eUAjM:&tbnh=140&tbnw=186&prev=/images%3Fq%3Dmitsubishi%2Bresistor%2Bbox%2Bfor%2Bt uning%26um%3D1%26hl%3Den%26sa%3DN%26biw%3D1259%26b ih%3D579%26tbs%3Disch:1&um=1&itbs=1&iact=rc&dur=40 7&ei=aPaNTJL4IJCengfWo6mTDA&oei=vfWNTPGFO9KlnQfeob GFCg&esq=9&page=1&ndsp=16&ved=1t:429,r:2,s:0&tx=12 1&ty=85 it looks alot like that but not exact.
So my question to you guys is can he use stock y7 injectors and eliminate that box with 7 lbs of boost? or will i wire it up this evening and call it a day?As for wiring it up i have no idea what to do,and what would the side effects be or not having it wired up the whole time and the car going and dying shortly after? Is she washed down on her cylinders now.Killed the plugs....Thanks for the input bys. This sites great!!!

Use high impedance injectors and no box, and tune it for 7psi or it wont last long. s300, chrome, etc... something.

what size injectors are in the car right now, does the p28 have hondata? Since you dont know how to hook up a resistor box for low impedance injectors i would get high impedance injectors because those do not need the resistor box. I would not recommend running stock injectors, i would run atleast 440cc injectors. Also running low impedance injectors without a resistor box can fry your injector drive inside your ecu.
