Default OBD2b d16y8 swap into OBD2a Civic

so its been a few years since ive been on this site. its been even longer since my last swap.

i just have a quick question. can somebody direct me to wear i can find some info on a swap.

i have a 2000 d16y8 (obd2b) im looking to put it into my 98 civic ex. i know the harness wont work.

any help is appreciated. thanks guys.

use the correct harness, if its manual you'll need to plug the cold start assist holes.

Mail old harness to Hasport and they'll wire up the loom for you. They do it right, it came in mail, plug it in and drive off into the sunset...

No need for all that. Just reuse your old distributor. The rest will plug and play. The cold start assist won't need to be messed with as long as it's all hooked up. You'll also want to reuse your exhaust manifold if you want the primary 02 to be in the same location.
