OBD2A wiring queries
#1
I guys sorry for yet another thread I have a few questions needing answered on thus wiring loom for my project car 1. What is the PG1 and PG2 wires from the ecu? Do they just go straight to earth? 2. At the gearbox side of the car there is a loom that goes from the interior to the engine bay large grey plug, can anyone tell me what each wire is for and where it goes to inside the interior
3. I have a pic and diagram of the main relay wiring but my problem is my main relay has pin 8 which others doesn't does the main relay also double up as a fuel pump relay?
4. Does anyone have a wiring diagram of the lighting and power window and air con circuit etc so I can remove these wires altogether from my loom as they are not required 5. Can anyone tell me what this plug is for and what/ where each wire goes or does
Grey plug end
Wires
Opposite end
Thanks in advance this forum has been so useful so far

You may need to find a how-to on here somewhere, or even google, for these issues it's always difficult for me to find a correct, simple answer.

Re: A few obd2a wiring questions
Do you have the repair manual in question? I have one on a cd from eBay but like said not really enough depth in it, I bought the people who look at these looms all day long would maybe know what's what with them

Re: A few obd2a wiring questions
Yes I do, infact I have repair manuals for 99-00 civics,obd1 and obd2 integras, obd2 crvs. The worst part is its not hard to use a multimeter to trace those PG1 and PG2 wires to its location, which is part of the engine harness loom.
Edit: Also that brown plug with the grey plu on the other end looks custom made for a reason because I've never seen that before so unless you wanna tell us where you found that it would make things a whole lot easier to search. Also your power window wires are on another harness, I'm going to assume this is all from a 96-00 honda civic, and that harness is the floor harness. The floor harness goes under the carpet.
Edit 2: Better yet let me go ahead and point out the exact page for the power window wiring diagram for your sorry ***, I say that because I feel sorry you went and bought a cd with honda manuals on there even though they were free to begin with. Look at 96-98 coupes/hatchbacks page 23-221, 96-98 sedans 23-222, 99-00 coupes/hatchbacks page 23-223, 99-00 sedans page 23-224.

Where is the page for the manuals on this forum? Also I traced the wires from the fusebox and came to the conclusion that from the fusebox (brown) to the grey end its for the aircon, I'm sure it was on the receiver dryer

Re: A few obd2a wiring questions
hondahookup.com has the manuals for download. You need to create an account though, don't worry its free. Once you download the manual specific for your car look up those pages I gave you for the power window.
That brown plug probably does go to the fuse box but the thing is the only brown plug that is suppose to go there is from the ignition.

Re: A few obd2a wiring questions
Well see, thats whats confusing. You don't give enough info to help you so I'm basing everything on USDM and now you're back to square one because we don't have access to ukdm manuals.

Not really as I have a multimeter and patience so I'm going through wires from the fusebox this way, here isn't much of a difference really apart from everything being at the opposite side

Re: A few obd2a wiring questions
Well the fusebox layout should be the same so the diagrams in the manual can probably help with that. As you stated everything is just on the opposite side. Come to think of it I did make an attempt to use the jdm engine bay fusebox in my usdm civic. It worked, but wouldn't fit because its made to site on the opposite side.

OBD2A wiring queries
Hi guys just need to sort out a few wiring queries i have for my engine conversion
1st off i have a brown wire from (according to the wiring diagram) pin C7 at the ecu (i got pin 5) for the service check connector or SCS do i need this wire at all as i wont be using the abs system at all and the wire branches off to the abs? if so what does the service check connector look like? so i can put this in also
2nd i have a light blue wire for the data link connector or DLC at the ecu but i havent come across a 16 pin DLC in any honda until at least 2001 so can anyone tell me where this wire leads to?
3rd i have a 3 pin plug with wire colours blue with a red trace, green and blue with a yellow trace can anyone tell me what this plug is for and do i need it?
4th and finally can anyone tell me what wire dies what on this part of the engine loom? the grey connector is 1 of 3 that sit at the gearbox side strut tower which then disappears into the car and onto a multi plug and from there god knows. it has the starter motor wire in it if this helps
i have a pic of the said plug and part of the loom
Many thanks for any input just a few little hurdles before i can fire her up again
