Default obd2a obd2b

I just finish my swap a 00 b18c1 into a 98 civic ex. The civic is obd2a and my gsr is obd2b. I cant use my gsr ecu because of this. Is the best way to get a 97 gsr ecu? or is it cheaper to get a obd2a to obd2b harness, if they even make em. Im trying to BAR this car also. Would any of this affect me from passing.

If I am not mistaken the reason you cant use the GSR ecu is because of the Immobilizer.

Might be easier just to get a 96-97 gsr ecu.
