obd2a civic with a jdm obd1 integra motor jerking/bogging problem
the car is a 96 civic dx with a jdm obd1 b18b motor, running my stock ecu for now until i get my ecu harness i ordered
whats up everybody..my friends and i just finished upgrading my civic's motor by the way of a jdm obd1 b18b but it has a jerking/bogging problem..when im just in neutral and my rpms are around 1500-2000, the rpms jump up and down(bogging i think?) until i get past 2000 rpms then its normal..also when my car is in gear, in any gear, the car jerks hard when in between the same rpm range when u get off the gas..i tried getting off the gas on any other rpms but it only does it when its around 1500-2000 rpms..any help would be great because im realli stumped on this one

so you are running a obd2 civic ecu (p2e) on an obd1 integra engine and wondering why you have driveability problems?? you need an obd1 ls ecu and conversion harness to get the car running properly

either that, or bucking and carrying on is sometimes a sign of a bad ignition coil. any cel's at all? the coil doesn't have one i don't believe, well mine didn't any how.

do you have a CEL? I assume you must since the obd1 motor is missing various obd2 sensors. unfortunately the car isnt going to run right until you get the proper ecu

i have a 91 civic hatch with a 94 d15b7 swap. in jerks violently in first second and 3rd gear unless im above about 2300 rpms. i have to constantly give it alot of gas to keep in from jerking real hard. the car idles up and down from about 1100 rpms to 1400 in neutral or when the clutch is pressed. anytime i dont have my foot on the gas or on the clutch it jerks really bad. i replaced the iacv and it idled better for a minute but stilled jerked. now its back to idling up and down. it only does it in the lower gears tho. in fourth and fifth gear it doesnt jerk when i take my foot off the gas its just a little jumpy. ive been told it was the tps and the O2 sensor. replacing the tps tomoro. any suggestions before i go spending anymore money? would be greatly apreciated
