Default OBD2 SOHC distributer connecting to an OBD2 LS motor

im swapping an ls motor into my 99 civic, i have to use my sohc wiring harness to run the motor but i came across a problem. i have an LS dizzy but the plug wont fit on the sohc wiring harness? im thinking about splicing the connecter to a sohc plug but there are 9 wires on the LS dizzy plug and only 8 on the sohc dizzy plug? if i am to splice them what do i do about the 9th wire? its an extra solid blue wire, anyone no where i goes or what it does? everything is OBD2 on the car. what would happen if i were to just swap the whole harness out of the LS dizzy and replace it with a sohc harness??

I think the solid blue wire is the tach lead.
