Default obd2 power boost on a budget?

I have a 97 civic coupe and am looking to get a little more power out of it. I would preferably like to spend around $500. On top of that what brands are suggested for aftermarket cams, and aftermarket intakes? (Or where can I find cheap k&n)

$500 can get you 1 extra hp... just saying do a little more research and save a lot more money.

And also people need more information on the car and motor. there are millions of build threads on here to prevent you from making a thread like this.

Drop the weight is free. Selling your a/c and power steering system nets you cash and loosens up SOME hp.

Lol, save your money man. The "mods" you speak of are pointless. I mean, IMHO they are. If you must spend the $500, buy good tires. Hit corners a bit faster and it'll feel like you gained 50whp.

Spend your money on good tires, and a weekend of HPDE classes. You'll gain more out of that than you ever could out of $500 worth of bolt-ons.
