obd2 to obd1 swap info. "answers here"
ok, after searching for hours for 2 days in a row, searching honda-tech and google. along with other forums i finally got the answers i needed.
guys if you are going to do a obd2 into a obd1 car, run a p28 and leave the iab's and knock sensor unplugged. you'll be good to go. if you wanna run iab's you're gonna have to get a obd1p72 and run the wires yourself and switch them around since obd1 and obd1 iab's operate on diffrent signals, one possitive, and one negative. if you're wiring up a dx, you'll have to wire up v-tec. in which cases you can find a diagram for v-tec on here. or any other forums as i found a bunch when i was searching....
i hope this helps someone out in the future. i haven't put details in this message, but i prob. have answered someones questions. if you're going to run the obd1 p72 you'll also have to wire up the knock sensor. just keep it simple and get a chipped p28 it' won't look for iab's or knock... and the iab's stay open anyways.
obd2 96+ gsr into a obd1 95- dx or non v-tec. if its a v-tec body for example a "ex" you don't need to wire up v-tec
