obd2 monitors, need some input
everytime i turn off the car the monitors reset so i end up having to go through the relearning process of the car again. radio presets etc dont reset, just the ecu monitors. havent got the chance to diagnose it yet cuz i just figured it out today after i hooked it up to my snap on motise, but thinkin maybe the backup fuse, any other input or help would be nice incase anyone else had ran into this problem and its not the backup fuse....thanks!

there is a constant power input to the ecu, you eithre have some way the ecu isnt seeing that voltage (fuse, break in wire), or the keep alive memory in the ecu is shot.

OBD stands for on board diagnostics. the first generation OBD (OBDI) was a set of standards released by the government for manufacturers to control the emissions on their cars, OBDII standardized the automotive world (same connectors, same information transmitted to the connectors, etc. before OBDII each manufacturer had its own connector and data transmission) and also tightened the grip on emissions.
that is the absolute beginning of what OBD is and what it does.
