obd2 iac in a obd1 (searched)
i cant find anything about that..before i go out and buy a new iac for my jdm b16 obd1. i want to kno if a obd2 iac will work properly..i know only 1 bolt will bolt up but will it work properly?? and how do i test if its a ecu problem? ohms? i really need help! the idle keeps jumping and im throwing a code 14-iacv. and wen i block the top hole in my throttle body the idle is fine... DD car =\ pleaseeeee help H-T!!
also my brother took off the tps and tried to clean it and alighned it pretty close...wondering if that can cause any of the problems..im not throwing a tps code..and wen i take the map hose off the map sensor..the idle goes down and runs fine but really rich..

Pretty close it not good enough for the TPS. set it correctly, if it's off it will screw up your idle badly.
OBD2 IACVs work fine with OBD1 ECUs. I use one daily. (OBD2 engine)
it will not line up with the mounting holes but it will line up with the manifold holes.
it's sort of ghetto but the one bolt that lines up and long tiewrap around the manifold will hold it in place long enough to get the car home and install the right part.
